Leela Worldwide, MRIDA, and Great Eastern CSR Foundation join hands for a Shared Vision of Sustainable Development in Alang, Gujarat, India
"Leela Worldwide, MRIDA, and Great Eastern CSR Foundation have partnered to work towards a common goal of sustainable development in various fields in Alang, Bhavnagar, Gujarat. The partnership will focus on four pillars of development, namely:
1. Education & Youth Empowerment - The partnership will work towards providing quality education and empowering the youth, through various initiatives and programs such as sports and co-curricular activities, digital infrastructure and facilities, health and career counselling, with specific focus on the girl child and children of migrant workers, etc.
2. Health and Environment - The partnership will work towards promoting a healthy environment and better healthcare facilities in the communities, through various health and environmental interventions such as Solid waste management, clean drinking water, rain water harvesting, tree plantation, health baseline, and focused attention on parameters that the health baseline may throw up, etc.
3. Livelihoods and Women Empowerment - The partnership will work towards improving the livelihoods of communities, especially women and rural youth, through various vocational training programs and financial literacy initiatives.
4. Agriculture and Agri-interventions - The partnership will work towards promoting sustainable agriculture practices and agri-interventions such as organic and natural farming methods, etc. in communities, to ensure food security and improve farmers' livelihoods.
Through this partnership, Leela Worldwide, MRIDA, and Great Eastern CSR Foundation aim to make a positive impact on the communities they work with, and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
